These stays are tailored to suit groups of secondary school, college or university students. We provide French as a foreign language classes and cultural activities for children aged 13 and over.
- Families, students’ parents
We work with families who want to get away or send their children to learn French. Our language stays are vital to learning the language in terms of both oral and written skills. Students stay in host families or hotels and experience a unique language experience meeting new friends, making memories and boosting their confidence in using French. Our summer camps are a great way for young learners to practise French in a summer setting surrounded by the language: real “vacances actives” (active holidays)!
- Adults and professionals. Our language stays are also for adults who want to learn French or professionals working in France who want to perfect the language or learn specific terminology.

The cost of a French language stay depends on several factors:
- Destination or destinations (Paris, Nice, Strasbourg?)
- Season (summer is most expensive)
- Number of students/visitors
- Activities: French lessons? Cultural activities? Sports, foodie or multi-sensory experiences?
- Accommodation (host family, hotel, youth hostel)

4. How long do French language stays last?
How long do French language stays last?
Language stays last at least 1 week but Vacances Actives provides longer bespoke stays in several French destinations. 2, 3, 4 weeks or longer… it all depends on the student’s availability, budget and expectations! Remember that the longer the stay, the greater the benefit in terms of language skills and cultural understanding.
Vacances Actives provides day trips from Paris (our excursions) and tours (step by step in Paris) for visitors or foreign students who want to explore in and around the capital. Our guides adapt their language to suit French as a foreign language learners.
